Many of the approximately 3.000 universities in the United States are looking for international students in order to promote “diversity” on campus and to further internationalize their student body.
Universities are interested in foreign students because a) they add to the diversity on campus; b) a high percentage of international students increases the “prestige” of the university; c) the number of international students also counts positively towards college rankings.
Every year, International Doorway collects scholarships offered at these kinds of universities and distributes them to qualified applicants on a “first come – first served” basis.
